Program Outline
RainforestAid09 will take place over Summer Solstice June 19-21, 2009 on the Osa Peninsula (PDF) which is according to the National Geographic "the most biologically intense place on earth," home to more than 4,000 plant species, 375 kinds of birds, and 140 mammals, including jaguars, pumas, tapirs and anteaters.

CC International volunteers will provide support in the following areas:
Event Set Up , Event Operations, Event Clean Up
- equipment stage & sound
- logistics & hospitality
- transportation
- parking
- food & potable water
- tickets & merchandising
- children and child care
- VIP hospitality
- communication
- camp ground management
- concessions
- cash machines
- waste management
- health care services
- security & safety
- first aid & emergency services
- automotive and road side assistance

Accommodations
Volunteers will stay in the CC International volunteer camp located at the event site which will have the following amenities:
- Safe and clean sleeping areas
- Clean bathroom facilities
- Showers
- Sanitary food services
- Access to medical support
- Onsite communications
- Electricity
- Fresh water

RainforestAid09 will raise funds for existing conservation projects
100% of the profits from The Festival will benefit these important local conservation initiatives:
- Programs in support of eliminating illegal logging & deforestation
- Osa Landfill, waste & recycling center
- Corcovado Park / Sirena station building improvements
- Funding for Minae park guards & pilots
- Funds for rural public education
- Funding for improvements of existing public water systems in rural areas
- Puerto Jimenez water treatment facility study
- Resources for computer education for La Palma & Puerto Jimenez Schools
- Basic medical supplies for local hospital
- Sustainable grocery & merchandise bag program in Puerto Jimenez & La Palma
