Weekend Schedule

• Friday      Jan 18 Volunteer arrival and reception at CC International New Orleans Volunteer Facility
• Saturday Jan 19  Service projects in New Orleans/ Volunteer Dinner/ Local Speakers
• Sunday    Jan 20 Service Projects and Prep for Parade/ Volunteer Dinner/ Local Speakers
• Monday   Jan 21         Participate in MLK Day Parade in New Orleans and other events

Food

Each day volunteers will be served breakfast and make their own brown bag lunch before departing to their project site. Dinner will be served each evening. Vegetarian options are available for each meal, refrigerator space is available to store personal food for those with special dietary needs.

SPECIAL NOTE: We are trying to minimize our environmental “footprint“ by eliminating disposable plates and cups whenever possible.. Therefore,we are asking each volunteer to be responsible for bringing their own plate, silverware, cup, water bottle, and bowl. We will provide Red Cross approved sanitary dish washing station for use by volunteers

Housing

CC International adheres to the standards set by the American Red Cross for housing and feeding volunteers.   

We Provide:

• A Place to Sleep
• Clean and sanitary showers and bathroom
• Recreation Space
• Internet Access
• Meeting space
• Three meals per day with a vegetarian option

Project Service Fee

The project service fee covers the cost of lodging, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, project coordination, tools, safety equipment, project supplies, and insurance. $35.00 per person per day. (Transportation is not included)
