Katrina's Kids: Ongoing Support for Children Impacted by Disaster

Mission Statement:

CC International deploys volunteers where they are needed most and gets the most value out of each volunteer hour through effective management and comprehensive logistical support. Children who suffer through the displacement and loss associated with disaster need ongoing support. They are less likely to finish high school, more likely to have problems with drugs and alcohol, and are in need of ongoing support that builds coping skills. The Katrina's Kids project brings volunteers to disaster impacted communities and works with schools, head start programs, and after school programs.

Location Selection

CC International visits disaster impacted communities each fall to determine where volunteers will be needed most during upcoming winter and spring breaks. We announce project locations and other details by the end of September.
